Don’t take my word for it - ask George.
George H. Ross, born January 6th, 1928, is a former executive vice president and senior counsel of the Trump Organization. For decades he has been one of Donald J. Trump's chief advisors and was intimately involved with many of Mr. Trump's biggest real estate deals. Starting with one of the most famous deals in history, in 1976, where Donald J. Trump partnered with the Hyatt Corporation to buy the Commodore Hotel, now known as the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
Since many of the buildings near the hotel were in or on the verge of foreclosure, and New York City was facing bankruptcy, Mr. Trump was able to negotiate an unprecedented contract in which the city provided a 40-year tax abatement, the first ever granted to a commercial property. And as they say, the rest is history.
